Transmission oil

As a high-tech component of the transmission, gearbox and axles, the lubricant fulfills 4 essential functions:

  • Lubrication of the different parts of the transmission: the light oil film considerably reduces the friction between the parts and thus ensures maximum engine performance.
  • Corrosion protection: The oil film on the parts protects them from moisture, acid products and other factors that can damage the engine components.
  • Cooling moving parts: the oil helps maintain thermal equilibrium between moving parts by removing some of the calories produced by friction.
  • The evacuation of impurities: the oil also has a role of cleaning the moving parts. Indeed, it allows to carry during its passage the particles and deposits present in the transmission, the gearbox and the axle to the filters.
